  NoHijack is my own application.  It's a batch program that currently removes 134 known hijacker programs or modules in Windows XP.  It now also detects and removes over 45,000 known bad Browser Helper Objects/Toolbar hijackers. It is not meant to be a comprehensive application, and shouldn't be treated as such. But it can, in many cases, restore your internet connection so that you can update your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.  It will only remove those items (including some associated trojans) that are uninvited, and not those you may choose to use, such as Google Toolbar.  A lot of care and research went into this script to assure that it removes active files, startup mechanisms, and registry entries, disabling these parasites without altering your system. One notable exception is that it will replace your start page with the Google search page as a simple means of overwriting any page that may have hijacked your browser. 
  This application has been used on hundreds of computers with no ill effect.  It can restore internet connection and speed up performance.
